Melissa stumbled into the hockey world when her son Ridge started Mites, and they accidentally became a hockey family. Melissa has volunteered with our in-house Mountain League program and is thrilled to join the BAHA staff to support our youth recreational programs. She believes that hockey at all levels is important and every kid should get the chance to be on the ice.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Melissa grew up playing soccer, lacrosse, and running track & field. After some encouragement, Melissa jumped into Greenhorns in 2025 with some other “hockey moms,” and the rest is history. Now a goalie, Melissa plays as many HHL games as she can manage. When she isn’t at the rink, which is rare these days, Melissa enjoys trail running, biking, skiing, and the Montana outdoors.
