Gallatin Ice Invites the Community to Celebrate the Holidays with Spooky Skate, ThankSkating, and Skate with Santa
Bozeman, MT – [October 5, 2026] – Gallatin Ice is thrilled to welcome the community to its annual holiday skates – Spooky Skate, ThankSkating, and Skate with Santa.
First up will be the annual Spooky Skate event on Sunday, October 25, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. This themed and specially decorated public skate welcomes all ages and features a costume contest, a figure skating performance, and a bake sale.
Gallatin Ice will also host its two other annual holiday traditions. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, skaters can gain free admission to any public or drop-in hockey session by bringing a non-perishable food item which will be donated to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. Skate rentals will be available for $5. Sessions include Family Shinny Hockey from 9:15 to 10:45 am, two Public Skate sessions from 10 to 11:45 am and 12:45 to 2:30 pm, and Adult Puck Lunch from 11 to 12:45 pm.
Skate with Santa will be held on Sunday, December 13, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. This holiday tradition offers an affordable, family-friendly way for skaters of all ages to celebrate the season together and enjoy time on the ice.
Before Santa hits the ice, guests can enjoy a free holiday-themed figure skating show, Christmas on Ice, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., featuring performances by local figure skaters set to their favorite Christmas classics.
After the show, Santa will join skaters on the ice, giving children the chance to take photos and share their holiday wishes. The event will also include a bake sale, hot cocoa for sale from concessions, and candy canes courtesy of Santa.
Tickets for Spooky Skate and Skate with Santa are $11 or less and can be purchased at the door and may also become available online in advance.
