Gallatin Ice Announces New Naming Rights for Arena Expansion Project

Bozeman, MT – [June 24, 2026] – Gallatin Ice will reopen in September with new naming rights across its facility. The west-side building and the rink housed within it will collectively be known as the Bottcher Families Community Ice Center. The east-side rink, located inside Haynes Pavilion, will be renamed the Langlas Community Ice Rink.

Earlier this year, the Bozeman-based nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing affordable, accessible, and attainable ice sports to the Gallatin Valley, announced the next phase of renovations and expansion at its two-rink facility located at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.

Currently underway is Phase II of the Finish the Ice Barn campaign, an $8.1 million project that will transform the west side of the arena. Improvements include expanded seating capacity, additional restrooms, a restaurant, executive suite, mezzanine, broadcast booth, and new locker rooms. This phase of the project is anchored by an additional $2 million donation from the Bottcher Families, longtime supporters of Gallatin Ice.

“The Bottcher Family has made a significant impact on our rink. We could not be renovating the arena right now without their continued support. Everything that fans and players will get to enjoy starting next year, from the stands to the restaurant to the overall, improved facility, is possible because of the momentum generated by their donations and ongoing dedication to ensuring hockey has a home in Bozeman.” - Dave Weaver, Gallatin Ice General Manager, Adult Hockey Director, and MSU Men’s Hockey Club Coach

Langlas & Associates is serving as Gallatin Ice's construction partner for Phase II of the Finish the Ice Barn campaign. In addition to securing naming rights for the east-side rink, Langlas donated the facility's jumbotron, which was installed in 2025 during Phase I of the campaign.

“Our relationship with Langlas has been integral to our foundation. Nonprofits cannot thrive without support from businesses in the community. The team at Langlas loves this rink. They give to our foundation, their employees play hockey here, and they have been an important part of our success. We are so pleased that the Langlas name will be on our ice for years to come.” - Jeff Moore, Gallatin Ice Philanthropy Director

The overall facility, including both rinks, staff offices, and parking areas, will be known as Gallatin Ice Arena. As part of the new naming structure, the Bottcher Family name will transition from the east-side rink to the newly expanded west-side facility. The Bottcher Families Community Ice Center will encompass both the west-side building and the rink housed within it. The east-side rink inside Haynes Pavilion, formerly known as Bottcher Rink, will become the Langlas Community Ice Rink.

As a result of these changes, the names Ice Barn and Ressler Rink will be retired and will no longer be used.

The naming rights for the Bottcher Families Community Ice Center and the Langlas Community Ice Rink extend for 75 years. The Haynes Pavilion naming agreement remains in effect through 2073.
