If there ever was an unsung hero at the rink, it would be Scott Lundberg. A capable and committed volunteer from Butte, Scott has kept the rink operating from behind the scenes for more than 30 years. Producing solutions for literally any predicament, he has never faltered in his dedication despite the inevitable late nights and weekends. A quick study of mechanical systems, Scott received advanced refrigeration certification to operate our ice plant hardware and software. He learned to drive and maintain the Zamboni and remains an important resource for our operations staff. Scott can execute time sensitive and complicated repairs and he once rebuilt a Zamboni carburetor in between hockey games so that we didn’t miss a beat. Scott’s ongoing contributions and commitment to our rink are truly remarkable.
